General Terms and Conditions:

Copyright Ownership: By submitting an entry, contestants warrant that they are the sole creator, designer, and owner of the artwork, including all visiual and auditory components, and further warrant that the artwork does not contain information considered by any third party to be confidential.

Employees (or members of the families or households of employees) of NATO or any of its Agencies or of member and partner state Delegations to NATO are not eligible to enter the Competition. NATO reserves the right not to award a prize (and to select an alterative winner) if NATO is aware or has reasonable grounds to believe that a winner is not eligible.

After each entry is screened for compliance with the entry requirements, it will be judged by an independent panel of judges selected by NATO HQ. The judges’ decisions are final and binding. NATO shall not communicate with individual contestants in whatever way about the decisions taken by the jury or any other aspect of the present competition, apart from the notification of the winners. The entries shall be judged based on originality, effectiveness in meeting the communication objective, and the contestant’s skills.

The contestants accept and agree that the entries may be used, unlimited and exclusively by NATO, free of any cost or other compensation, for the purposes as set out in the Call for Applications and General Terms and Conditions.

Entries that contain any content that is pornographic in nature, lewd, or sexually explicit, in organiser’s sole discretion, will be disqualified.

Any non-conforming entries will be disqualified. Altered, defaced, mutilated, illegible, or incomplete Entry Forms are not eligible and will result in disqualification of entry.

NATO is not to be responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify winners. If a selected contestant cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to comply with any term or condition contained herein, a prize may be forfeited and an alternate contestant may be selected. Winners will be required to sign and return a liability release, declaration of eligibility, license agreement, and a publicity consent agreement as a condition of receiving a prize.

NATO will not return any of the entries.

NATO shall not be responsible for any damage of whatever nature related to the organisation of the present competition, including with regard to the entries addressed to NATO. NATO shall not assume any responsibility or liability of whatever nature for or on behalf of any of the contestants. The contestants in the present competition will safeguard and hold harmless NATO, its member and partner States and their personnel, against any claim or action of whatever nature, initiated by a third party, related to the contestants' participation in the present competition.

NATO reserves the right, without creating any right to an indemnity or compensation of whatever nature, to cancel, suspend or modify in whatever way the present competition.
